This is my fourth year teaching music at Baker Elementary, as well as my fourth year within the district. I started teaching in 2017 and look forward to many more years to come!

Baker Elementary was my first teaching position for music education. Before teaching in Canadian, I was a private voice lesson teacher for several years. 

I am originally from Arkansas, but I moved to Texas for school, where I met my husband. I am married to Matt Phenix, who is the  pastor at the First Baptist Church here in Canadian. We were married in May of 2014 in Fort Worth, Texas. We have one daughter, Clara, and we have three dogs, all scottish terriers. 

I like to be outdoors, especially anywhere by the water. I enjoy reading, anything musical, hiking, swimming, and spending time with my family.
