5th Math Teacher
I attended West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. In 2006, I completed my teaching certification through Lone Star College in Kingwood, Texas.
This year I am teaching 5th grade math at Baker Elementary.
Prior to getting into teaching, I worked as a case worker for Child Protective Services for three years. For the first nine years of my teaching career, I was a special education inclusion and math teacher at New Caney High School in the Houston area. In 2014, we moved to Canadian where I was the Life Skills teacher at Canadian High School and my husband James the the assistant principal at Canadian Middle School and Canadian High School. In May 2018, we moved to Gruver where James was the campus principal and I was the special education teacher, both at Gruver High School. In July 2019, we were given the opportunity to move back to Canadian and we did not hesitate to come back!
My husband is the campus principal at Canadian High School. We have two boys, Collin and Zach. Checkers is our dog.
